Rural Medical Family Network

"The Rural Medical Family Network (RMFN) is a support network funded by Rural Health West (ex WACRRM). This network underpins the retention of rural and remote doctors by supporting their families.

Doctors and their families newly arrived in remote or rural WA are strongly encouraged to make contact with the local Rural Medical Family Network (RMFN) representative.” (Source: Rural Health West website)

Recently rural Divisions of General Practice have entered into an agreement with Rural Health West to further support local medical families. Through this new arrangement the Greater Bunbury Division will play an increased role in working with and supporting the local RMFN Coordinator. This will include assisting with the organisation of local functions, promoting the work of the RMFN and being involved in the meeting and greeting of local families.
